Kanye's a jerk, period.

Okay, so as much as I LOVE Kanye West's music and DETEST Taylor Swift (can't lie though, my roomate used to blast Love Song and I sang along, pretty catchy) it is NOT okay to take away frim her moment.  First, she's 17 years old, Kanye - pick on someone legal.  Second, Beyonce is bomb, everyone and their mom, best friend, cousin, and gay friend will tell you that. But, she's won so many awards and also had 8 more nominations at the VMA's.  Let the child have her moment.  Cause we ALL know if Miley Cyrus was there, it'd be "Taylor Swift" who?

P.S.  I know everyone thinks Amber Rose is the flyest thing walking Earth right now but that outfit is NOT the business.

Check it on via Youtube... If you missed it.

These sunglasses are by far the HOTTEST sunglasses I've ever seen.  I've been intrigued by them ever since I saw Rihanna wearing them in black.  However, I refrained from getting them because I feared some company would make a cheap replica and as a result, everyone in the hood would try to rock them; Even if the other pieces of their outfit are unworthy to be adorned with the perfection that is the Kerin Rose handmade to order frames. Fortunately, Kerin Rose's sunglasses have not been replicated and I MUST have them.

Fashion Friday: Denim Edition

"The only rule is don't be boring and dress cute wherever you go"
- Paris Hilton

Shopping is one of my favorite things ever, period.  For that reason alone I've decided to dedicate Fridays to fashion. My first  "Fashion Friday" is dedicated to denim pieces that I love.

Deeper Than Words

"No one will EVER understand the strength of the Spelman sisterhood, unless you have attended Spelman College"

After a short but very moving, saddening ceremony in the chapel today in honor of our dear Spelman sister who was killed last night, I sat with 5/6 of my closest friends at school (the other returned home early this morning to mourn the loss of her grandmother) in shock at the event that had taken place.  We all found it amazing that we were so deeply saddened by the news when none of us knew the girl personally or had seen her since Freshman Orientation in fall '08.  At which point, we realized that though we may not always get along with each other or even know each other on a personal level, we are connected, deeply. The sisterhood that Spelman College so prides itself on is, indeed, alive and well.  We didn't just lose a classmate; we lost a sister. I realize, today, more than ever that nothing hurts more than seeing your sister's hurt and know that there's nothing you can do to take pain and sadness away. The sisterhood that exists between the students at Spelman College is deeper than words we could ever speak to each other.  Fortunately, that's what will allow us to make it through.
I'm sending up my prayers to the family of Jasmine Lynn, her friends, Spelman College c/o 2012, and my AUC family in its entirety.

A little advice for C.B.

Dear Mr. Brown,
While I am not upset about your lack of delivering details about the now (seemingly) ancient altercation involving you and Ms. Rih-Rih, I AM, however, very displeased with your inability to form a sentence that:
 a) is gramatically correct
b) contains vocabulary reflective of your age; not that of a 7th grader

Also, the bow-tie that accompanies your baby blue crew-neck sweater does nothing for the outfit.  That's all.
Concerned Fan.

Seriously though, I don't quite understand what the purpose of his appearance on Larry King Live was considering he didn't unveil any new information.  My only thoughts on this are what they always have been.

NO, domestic violence is never okay.  But, none of us were at the scene and therefore, can not pass judgement on neither Chris nor the situation.  So let him live.  Besides, you all know that ya'll will proudly BANG his next single through your speakers, headphones, what have you if it is, indeed, a banger.
